I am Jane Pearman and with myself Marco we run Mopseys which is made up of Mopseys Grooming and Mopseyscoton my Kennel Club Affix name for breeding, judging toy group breeds and showing our Coton de Tulears.

All my life I have lived and worked with animals.  As a child I grew up on a farm.

When I was 16 I started as a Veterinary Nurse and have practiced as one both in the UK and New Zealand specialising in small animals. Having been a veterinary nurse it is important to do everything I can for the dogs I groom and puppies I breed happiness and well-being.

Mopseys grooming started in 1993 in a vets serving the surrounding community.  Although there were many dogs in the area there was no local grooming salon.

The grooming and breeding are now situated in a small rural community near Basingstoke.

Mopseys Grooming focuses on care of the animal, while working to breed standards and is a member of the Dog Groomer’s Association and Pet Care Trust and is fully insured. I specialise in hand stripping and grooming all breeds of dogs to their breed standards

Mopseyscoton is now a much sought after Kennel Name within the show world, having won many titles at Crufts, World Dog Show, European Dog Show and winning Best in Shows, Best Puppy in Shows, International Champions, Latin Winners, Lisboa Winner, Group Winners and placements, and gaining many Best of Breeds in the UK and CAC’s, CACIB’s in Europe with many of our dogs and dogs which we have breed. 

Mopseyscoton is a Kennel Club Assured Breeder (please look me up on their website http://www.kennelclub.org.uk under the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme).  All our dogs and puppies are KC Registered and sold under a KC approved contract.

Mopseyscoton has an Animal Activity Licence. The love of dogs and animals is at the core of everything to do with Mopseys.

From grooming to breeding the care and respect of the dogs comes first.  The love for the dogs and puppies is why all our dogs come from good lines and are Health Tested and are only mated to with Health Tested Dogs. We analyse the pedigrees of the dogs and their construction, temperament and are looking to breed beautiful happy puppies. It is very important to do everything to keep the Coton de Tulear a beautiful, sound breed.

We have built our home around our dogs, and have an amazing large grooming room, a beautiful separate pet room created for the mummies and puppies where we sleep with the mother and puppies. The garden is large and secure where the dogs and puppies are able to enjoy life, with a special patio are for the puppies.
